Project

Toxic Environmental Chemicals and Human Diseases

Autism has reached epidemic proportions in the United States, now affecting one in 36 children, according to the Centers for Disease Control. This research project uses computer science techniques to integrate diverse sources of information in order to inform a theory on the biological mechanisms of autism and other diseases, and to uncover the causal relationships between environmental chemicals and these diseases.
