MIT's Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL) faculty and researchers within the institute's School of Engineering receive many awards in recognition of their scholarship, service, and overall excellence. The School of Engineering periodically recognizes their achievements by highlighting the honors, prizes, and medals won by faculty and research scientists working in our academic departments, labs, and centers.
- Joel Emer in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science received the 2023 B. Ramakrishna Rau Award on Sept. 25.
- Gerald Sussman in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science received the IEEE Major Education Innovation Award on July 19.
- Vinod Vaikuntanathan in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science received the 2023 International Association of Cryptologic Research Test-of-Time Award on Aug. 8.
