Nauman Dawalatabad is a postdoctoral associate at the MIT Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL). He works in the Spoken Language Systems (SLS) group led by Dr. Jim Glass. He was a Lead Engineer at Samsung Research, India, in 2021, where he worked on on-device speech recognition. He obtained his Ph.D. (with the Institute Research Award) in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) in 2021. In 2020, he was a visiting research student at Mila - Quebec AI Institute, Montreal, Canada, and a core team member of the SpeechBrain group.
 

Research interests: Conversational AI, robust speech recognition, speaker recognition, and speaker diarization.
