Garrett Wollman joined MIT as a programmer in David Clark's Advanced Network Architecture group in 1994. In 1997, he moved from research into operations, taking over the position of network administrator in the Laboratory for Computer Science's Computer Resource Services group. When LCS and the AI Lab merged to form CSAIL in 2003, he continued in that position with the new CSAIL Infrastructure Group.
