On Thursday, September 13 at 10:00am EST CSAIL and Dell are joining forces for a Social Think Tank on Innovation in Education. Dell’s Social Think Tanks bring together industry leaders to discuss trends, challenges and best practices around key topics. The Innovation in Education Think Tank will bring together more than 20 leaders in education, learning and innovation - including edX President and CSAIL Principal Investigator Anant Agarwal - to discuss technology in the classroom.
The Think Tank is dedicated to diving deeper into innovative models in learning, discussing the challenges the education community is facing, furthering learning solutions and outlining what's possible with the support of technology. Topics to be covered include: Data Driven Innovation and Student Driven Transparency; The Future of Innovation in a Non-Text Book World; and Closing the Learning Gap. Participants will also discuss results from a Dell-commissioned global poll that will offer insight into how technology can help facilitate pioneering education models that improve the overall experience for parents, students and teachers. The moderator, Michael Horn, Executive Director of Education at Innosight Institute, will guide the discussion.
