CSAIL Director's Office

The CSAIL Director’s Office team supports CSAIL’s Director, Prof. Daniela Rus, by providing services across CSAIL in three main areas:

Planning and Initiatives Services

Program and project management is provided for the DSTA, GIST and TRI programs. Staff support the planning done by the Community of Research groups and the CSAIL Awards Planning Committee. In collaboration with others, logistical services are provided for management of the CSAIL Living Lab.

Event and Space Services

CSAIL hosts many visitors, meetings and seminars. The Director's office event team ensures the logistics run smoothly. Events include the CSAIL Annual Meeting, holiday socials, and more. Seminars and talks include Hot Topics in Computing seminars, Dertouzos Distinguished Lecture series and the CSAIL Forum. On certain occasions, team members conduct tours of CSAIL and the CSAIL Living Lab. Event team also manages the use of the R&D Commons (32-401), and R&D Pub (32-410).

Administrative Services

The CSAIL Director's schedule is constantly changing, and this team manages her calendar by responding to requests for meetings and setting up logistics. Reporting is also supported, including CSAIL’s portion of the MIT President’s annual report and the CSAIL Annual Report. The team manages distribution of keys to CSAIL offices and research spaces.
