Project Title: Printable origami robots with integrated sensors and controllers 

Project description:
In this project, we focus on automated design and fabrication of origami robots for miniature-scale operations.  With the successful development of magnetically-controlled, self-folding, origami robots in our group, the goals of the project are (1) to advance the robot’s design and control with integrated sensors, (2) to develop an idea for a robot with adaptive mechanisms for variable environments (printable robot brain), and (3) to develop a capsule-like origami robot for medical applications, for example drug delivery in stomach or intestine.
