Marketing, Media and Events Coordinator, CSAIL Alliance Program
MIT’s Computer Science Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL) is seeking a talented Marketing, Media and Events Coordinator to work with external and internal alliances. Responsibilities include developing a wide range of marketing materials; writing case studies; generating creative content; proofreading and editing content for campaigns, website, and social media; coordinating large and small events (annual meetings, networking events, student recruitment events; managing the CRM (Salesforce) database; coordinating the information flow among internal stakeholders; and producing engagement reports for member organizations and promoting collaboration with the lab.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree, technical understanding of the computer science field and at least 3 years’ experience working in marketing, design, events, membership development and customer relations. Strong computer skills are essential including: MS Office applications, marketing and design software as well as working knowledge of the internet and social media, Adobe Creative Suite and content management systems such as Drupal. Experience in Salesforce preferred. Must be able to deliver high quality results and meet deadlines while managing multiple projects and competing demands. Position necessitates the ability to take initiative and work effectively and productively in a team-based environment. Strong attention to detail as well as demonstrated writing, customer service, presentation, problem solving, decision-making, analytical and interpersonal skills required. Must be able to transport marketing materials and computer equipment weighing up to 25 pounds to various events. Requires ability to attend evening and/or weekend meetings and/or events and travel domestically, and potentially internationally, up to 10% time. Knowledge of MIT a plus.
