The father-son team of CSAIL visiting scientist Marty Demaine and researcher Erik Demaine make sensuous paper sculptures from elegant, intricate algorithms.

As described in a recent story in American Craft, "they blend handwork and materials with theory and numbers, in a spirit of discovery and play. Science inspires their art, while art informs their scientific research."
