CSAIL Senior Technical Architect Jonathan Proulx recently spoke with the Rackspace team about CSAIL’s use of OpenStack, open-source software for building public and private clouds. The system has allowed the lab increased computational capacity for cutting-edge computer science research in natural language processing, biomedical imaging and other fields.
According to Proulx, the OpenStack system has allowed for a 25 to 50 percent increase in computational capacity for the lab.
