February 9, 2011
In collaboration with CSAIL and Zepheira, LLC, MIT Libraries has been awarded a $650,000 grant from the United States Library of Congress to create a new version of Exhibit, an open source platform that allows users to create websites packed with advanced search, filtering and visualization features. The goal for the updated version, Exhibit 3.0, is to create software that will be useful for libraries and other institutions looking for ways to share and display vast amounts of digital content.
CSAIL students will be working on improving Exhibit’s user experience and incorporating new data visualization techniques.
More information on Exhibit 3.0 can be found here.
