New Program Satisfies Particular Taste Buds

Finding the best butternut squash ravioli in town or a restaurant with a chic vibe and waterfront views just got easier. A new program developed by CSAIL’s Spoken Language Systems Group parses user reviews on sites like Yelp, extracts pertinent information and then organizes it for easy accessibility. The program relies on information gathered from sentence structure to extract essential information. Users can then give a verbal command that will enable the program to perform a specific search.
