Taking CSAIL’s Wi-Fi Network to the Next Level

Bookmark and Share

In an effort to streamline Wi-Fi access, CSAIL’s information technology team is installing a new wireless system in the Stata Center. The upgrade comes through Meraki, a networking company that was founded here at CSAIL in 2003 by then-PhD students John Bicket and Sanjit Biswas.

The move, which comprises the installation of 80 Meraki access points, will increase the reliability and the coverage of Wi-Fi in the Stata Center. Read more about the changeover, with comments from Associate Director of Infrastructure Jack Costanza, in this Campus Technology piece.
