With the abundance of cheap computer cycles and network bandwidth, we can certainly afford computing and programming environments that are much easier to use and more reliable than the one we have today! This talk describes how we can give users a hassle-free computing experience by organizing our computers as a network of cooperating and anonymous hosts that run virtual (x86) machines. This talk also discusses how we can improve software reliability by using computers to find inconsistencies in programs, and thereby find software errors without requiring user intervention.
