Cophylogenetics and Computational Biology at Harvey Mudd College
Speaker: Ran Libeskind-Hadas
Abstract: In the first part of my talk I will describe
algorithmic results on the cophylogeny reconstruction problem,
demonstrate the Jane software package that implements these
algorithms, and discuss some open problems and possible
directions for future work. This research was conducted with
Professor Michael Charleston at the University of Sydney and
undergraduate students at Harvey Mudd College.
In the second part of my talk, I will describe some curricular
innovations in undergraduate computational biology education and
the results of their implementation at Harvey Mudd.
